PRIMARY USAGE: Glide the spatula lightly across the top of balm to fill the larger part of the disk. Warm up with fingertips and gently massage into skin for about a minute, focusing on areas with more makeup. A little goes a long way. Rinse with warm water.

FOR HEAVY MAKEUP REMOVAL: Glide the spatula lightly across the top of balm to fill the larger part of the disk. Warm up with fingertips and massage into skin for about a minute and rinse and optional to follow with a warm washcloth.

FOR A DOUBLE CLEANSE RITUAL: Glide the spatula lightly across the top of balm to fill the larger part of the disk. Warm up with fingertips and massage into skin for about a minute and rinse with warm water and we recommend double cleansing with The Rice Polish: Calming.

Cleanses well but…

This does take off all your makeup but it burns my eyes. They are burning and watering still. 15 minutes after getting in bed. Their oil cleanser and rice cleanser dont burn my eyes

Not Worth It

I like Tatcha; however, this product is just is not it. I am glad I got this as a deluxe sample so I did not have to waste money on the full size. I use Clinique's Lash Power Mascara Long-Wearing Formula (for reference) and this makeup remover couldn't even take it off. I had to do a double cleanse using this Tatcha product to get the makeup all the way off. I don't wear foundation, just eye makeup. I have used better products taking off mascara and makeup than this one. I will not buy the full size.

Really not that great

I got a sample of this with my points and it just feels like thick oil on your face??? I don't understand these reviews. Green clean is wayyyyy better than this, I have them both right now and I will never consider repurchasing this.

A must have in my routine!

This is so gentle and removes all my make up. I do not recommend it as a cleanser by itself, but it's an incredible makeup remover. I recommend using The Rice Wash Cleanser after using this balm.

A must try if you love cleansing balms

As someone with acne prone skin and very sensitive eyes, this cleansing balm is incredible. I usually wear waterproof mascara and can break it down using a little water and my hands with this product alone. It doesn’t make the skin feel stripped or tight after use, and a perfect step before going in with cleanser. Highly recommend this product.

A must-have in your skincare routine!

Guys!!! I have tried other cleansing balms and other cleansers and none of them actually works... BUT THIS ONE.... MAN. It even takes off my hardest waterproof mascara. That thing suck to take off and this one takes it off like nothing. Look no further, you NEED this one!!! Leaves your skin so freakin' smooth.

Wow! But might be causing breakouts and itching

This really does a great job at removing makeup! I am just now entering the cleansing balm makeup remover world and am very happy with the change. It's so much more perferable than using wipes which don't seem very gentle on this skin or eyelashes. I used to use makeup wipes and a cleansing oil and the cotton pads after using the cleansing oil were still covered in makeup residue. To test, I have used cleansing oil after using this and there is no residue left over on the cotton pad! There was quite a bit when I went over my neck, but to be fair, I don't think I did a good job getting enough of the cleansing balm on my neck. On a negative note, I have sensitive skin and have noticed that I am breaking out and itchy on my face and neck. I'm not sure if this Tatcha cleansing balm is the cause, so I'll have to give an update later. There might be better options out there...

Must have for dry skin!

So I just used this cleanser 15 minutes ago and it was so good I have to write this review. Before I used this cleaner earlier my skin was so dry and flakey, my skin was peeling so I decided to try this out cause I've been trying to find a good oil cleaner that doesn't dry me out while not breaking me out. After I washed it off my skin was so smooth and soft it felt amazing.I thought it wouldn't last because my second cleanse is panoxyl and after that, it was still hydrated!! Now 15 minutes after my skin care including tretinoin is done and my skin is smooth, hydrated and soft as a baby!! it feels so good.

Excellent makeup remover

This is excellent. Removes all makeup, not too oily, does not leave a film. I double cleanse but you could just use this as your only cleanser. I also enjoy using the little golden token to scoop the balm out. It’s a nice touch. FYI all my reviews are my own, I don’t get free products . *all

Worth the try !

First use and I already love it. (Fingers Crossed!) For starters I have horrible skin lately gets super irritated very easily and gets super red and itchy and right now it is peeling in anger. I decided to try a balm because my face wash was too gentle and did not remove the makeup. I was skeptical as i applied but it immediately started melting away the stubborn waterproof mascara and eyeliner and apart from that it was so good at removing everything else. Balms i have tried before have left my skin feeling oily or dirty before but not this one this made my skin look bright and clean and most of all, it began to calm down all the redness! While my face is still a little red believe me when I say it definitely helped. So far in love with it i have high hopes for it!

Nice cleansing balm

I have been using the Tatcha Cleansing Oil for years, wanted to try something new and I have not been dissapointed. The balm seems a little small, but a little also goes a long way. I even like using this in the mornings for when I want a more gentle cleanser.
