I tend to have oily skin and it gets very shiny by early afternoon. However, since using Laura Mercier finishing power, my face no longer looks shiny and oily, instead, it looks smooth and soft. It gives my skin a blurred finish, kind of like an Instagram filter in real life. I really appreciate the texture of the powder as well, it is super fine and feels weightless on my skin. It sets my make-up without looking cakey or heavy. The only downside of this powder is the packaging. It’s not very travel-friendly, and easy to spill if you’re not careful. For the price, I wish they’d come up with a more user-friendly design. I also wish the velour puff was included with the powder, as this is the best way to apply it. I'm in my 50' and when I applied it smooth my face and especially the wrinkles around my eyes. This powder is amazing. I applied it with a brush. It's very light and has a tiny shine to it.
