Hubby loved it!

I received this as a free sample with an order, and gave it to my husband to try. This was a bit of a complicated scent, a lot of notes to it that unravel over the course of the day. When he first put it on he smelled more citrus, but by about an hour later he leaned more towards smelling more fresh/musky (in a good way). The fragrance notes are: bergamot, lemon, mandarin, orange, grapefruit, petit grain, neroli, sage, rosemary, lily of the valley, rose accords, jasmine, patchouli, vetiver, white musk and amber. Longevity: long-lasting Scent Intensity: moderate

An Amazing Fragrence

I love Acqua Di Parma Colonia. Essenza puts a nice twist on the original Colonia resulting in a more masculine fragrance with a bit more longevity. The drydown is different from Colonia and the patchouli, white musk, and amber you'll smell in the base makes it very interesting and enjoyable to wear.

Signature Scent

ONE of my favorite scents of all time. The original Colonia is a great fragrance, and this is even better. The woods/citrus is beautiful, and has an awesome scent for the office. Not strong, but not weak. Clean, yet substantial. I've read reviews that this takes a sophisticated nose to appreciate, however I completely disagree. The Neroli is astounding, and very present, with a base of Vetiver/Moss. Buy it!

young, elegant, refined, unique

I bought this for my husband for Valentine's Day based on the listed fragrance notes. I was a bit worried as I wasn't able to smell the fragrance before I bought it, but I am very happy with this purchase. Colonia Essenza opens with a strong neroli, quite like Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, but quickly (within a couple of minutes) mellows into a lovely sunny, spring-like fragrance. The fruit and flower notes are elegantly balanced by the warm, soft base notes of amber and patchouli. This fragrance is sophisticated without being stodgy and fresh without being feminine. It's a unique enough fragrance for special occasions, yet affordable and light enough for daily wear.

Good but....

This is good manly scent however I find the colonia and oud to be more to my loving....for me this is good, but not the best and when paying this price one might as well get the best!

5 star scent

There is no question that I would award this product five stars. The bottle is simple and strong, with clean lines. It is a lovely mix of a scents but a lot of citrus comes through. Every single time I wear it, many people, both men and women, compliment me. So it is generally an appealing perfume. A fresh, clean, light scent!

Sexy and Masculine

Acqua Di Parma is the best fragrance line. This classic Italian line has such a distinctive fragrance like no other with great staying power. Bought this for my boyfriend, and the smell is just so good. He loves the whole line.

Colonia Essenza is addictive

I bought this Cologne as my first niche fragrance, after collecting 50+ designer fragrances.The very first time I used it, it smelled like a high quality talcum powder, which kind of punctured my expectations and made me feel as though I was sitting in one of those old Italian hair salons during the 1930's. The middle notes of this fragrance reminded me of sandalwood for some reason as a result i can picture women wearing this fragrance too. However I would like to point out trying to understand this fragrance has made me enjoy it very thoroughly, I am now addicted to it like a junkie to crack, So much so that I don't feel like using my other favourite colognes such as L'nuit d'l homme by YSL or Channel Bleu. In a nutshell an amazing fragrance that I would use as my signature scent.

Great fragrance - possibly unisex

I bought this for my husband for father's day. I must admit that I sprayed a bit on myself, and I really like it. It is listed everywhere as a man's cologne, but I am wondering if women like to wear it too. I guess that I will have to sneak the occasional spritz of this from my husband's bottle.
