Description
A vitamin C serum that brightens.
Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12% offers a lightweight, water-based formula that helps reduce signs of aging by brightening and balancing uneven skin tone. Unlike direct forms of vitamin C, this easy-to-use serum contains a water-soluble vitamin C derivative that converts into vitamin C once applied, giving it less irritation potential. And because it has advanced antioxidant properties, it also protects skin from the visual effects of damage caused by environmental stressors, helping to maintain a more radiant complexion.
Note: In its pure form, vitamin C is unstable in water. Ascorbyl Glucoside is a water-soluble derivative of vitamin C. It is much more stable in water but it is less potent than direct L-Ascorbic Acid. - Directions for use

The best.
I've been hooked on this gem for years, and it's hands down my skincare MVP. Morning and night, this water-based wonder keeps my skin bright and hydrated. If I do have any blemishes, it speeds up the healing process and gets rid of any redness or scarring. I use it after toning and before moisturizing—it blends seamlessly under makeup. No breakouts, no fuss—just happy skin. If they ever stop making this, I'll be lost. Hands down my favorite skincare product. Obsessed.

No change after usage for a month
I used this product on a daily basis for a month and didn’t see any difference. I would recommend zinc or retinol instead of this product.

Not for sensitive skin, unfortunately
After receiving the product in the mail, I've started to incorporate it in my daily skin-care routine. I have used it for only 4 days before I noticed some issues. On the first day, the serum applied nice and well to my skin, with no irritation all day. This occurred for the next 2 days of using the product. But to my surprise, on the 4th day of application, my skin was irritated and new breakouts were forming on my skin. I immediately stopped use of this product and began to thoroughly inspect the damage. This product didn't just cause new breakouts on the skin, it has also CLOGGED my pores and whiteheads were forming. Also, if you have hormonal acne, this product will cause a PAINFUL flare-up that is almost unbearable. After 2 days of not using the product, the mentioned breakouts are healing and slowly going away, the painful flare-ups have finally ceased and the whiteheads are gone. Overall experience: This is my first ordinary serum, and was immensely excited to incorporate it in my skin-care regimen. My intention was to use this product to aid in sun protection and help with fading acne scarring, hence the reviews. It was not the best experience for me, due to the pore-clogging and flare-up issues. I usually have a pretty high pain tolerance, but those flare-up were something else. If this post helps anyone in the decision of purchasing the product, I'm glad I was able to help you.

After using this product over past few weeks, the results are highly noticeable. I had uneven skin tone issues, but now my skintone is getting better after using this serum 1x day.

A must for hyperpigmentation
I have hyperpigmentation, especially after popping a pimple, so I always use this solution to prevent it. It usually disappear the marks in a week. I have oily skin, so the solution feels really oily: I would just do one drop for my whole face.

skin care
This vitamin C is beautiful for acne prone skin! I personally did not purge and I know my acne prone skin people worry about that when trying a new product! I seen a big difference only using it for 2 weeks. I use it like 3x a week !

Nope nope nope
This pills, and is thick. I loved the old ascorbic acid. I wouldn’t buy it again, in fact I’m so disappointed with the ordinary since they were purchased by L’Oréal I am off all their products. Big hope.

Ascorbyl Glucoside Solution 12%
Did nothing positive for my skin and am halfway through the bottle. It does not absorb well and feels a bit tacky and drying on my acne-prone combination skin
