Intuitive airflow
Airflow when you need it. Your machine senses when hair is between the arms and automatically drops to low airflow when it's not – for quieter, more efficient styling.

Lock feature
Slide the button to lock and unlock the arms of your machine. Use with the arms locked to gently pre-dry hair and create volume from the roots.

Exceeded my expectations

I have extremely thick, unruly and frizzy hair. Not only has this device cut the trying time by half but has made my hair very tamed and glossy. I was very Sceptical, but Dyson has prove me wrong. Well Worth every penny spent on this. I have had a couple of my friends buy this after they saw The amazing results I have achieved.

Not for me. I have type 4a/3c hair and while I got it because I was attracted to the wet-dry style mood making wash day that much shorter, I found that it just didn’t do a good enough job blow drying my ends so they always looked frizzy. I love the blowout look it achieved on the rest of my hair, but I couldn’t rationalize the cost because I could easily have gotten the same effect with better ends using the Dyson dryer with a brush or the banding method. Perhaps it’ll work better for finer hair types.

No regrets

Bought this mainly for my 11 year old who struggled to dry and straighten her own unruly hair. Took a few attempts to master but can honestly say I love it. My mid length hair goes form soaking wet to silky straight in 20 minutes. Been using for around a month now and my hair is definitely looking in better condition after ditching the straightners. Much less flyaways and frizz and my hair seems to be less impacted by humidity. The only disadvantage for me is that it it leaves my hair without any volume, but fine for days where I'm going for the silky straight look. The key I've found is to blast each section from the root down until 75% dry before running down them with the plates, otherwise it does take much longer to dry. Definitely have no regrets in buying these, even despite the price tag.

Honestly amazing

I bought this a few weeks ago and I’ll never look back. Normally I hate washing , blow drying and straightening my hair and now this is a life saver. 14 mins from wet to dry and straight. Amazing. My hair also feels healthier . I was hesitant reading the reviews saying it was bulky but I had a wide plate straightener so it is pretty much the same.

Curly hair, now manageable

I bought this a few weeks ago and hands down the best purchase I have made. I have thick, curly hair and could never be bothered to blow dry and straighten (so it wasn’t an Afro) before I went to bed. But the Airstrait has made my life so much easier.
