Not up to Jo Malone standards

Last month, I received this candle as a gift (so unsure where it was purchased). I was thrilled to receive it as I am a long time admirer of Jo Malone products. I have purchased many, many lovely items for myself as well as gifts for others. I have tried burning it several times and it has no scent whatsoever. Given the 2+ years of COVID, is it possible that retailers are selling old inventory that really should be replaced with fresh items? I wish I could return it but don't want to hurt the feelings of my gift giver.

Fills the room without overpowering it.

I was given the three wick version of this candle as a housewarming gift. It has lasted 12 months. My sister makes candles so I know a little about them. The quality of the wax and the scent throw is first rate. It has a slow beautiful burn and everyone who enters the house comments on how beautifully it smells and do we have flowers. I am buying another one now.

The scent throw is weak and it smells like a funeral home.

Gorgeous candle

My husband & I stayed at Dumfries House. They had this candle burning as we arrived to check in. You could smell it all over their beautiful house. I loved it so much I have treated myself & recently bought it for a gift. The personalised box was such a lovely touch for my gift & was loved by our friend ❤️ Such a lovely, luxurious candle that I will use regularly from now on.

Very disappointing

I have been an avid user of jo malone products for the past 10 years. Sadly, this candle is such a disappointment! It gives off no scent at all apart from the slight stench of something burning. What a waste of money. The only thing JM about it is the price. Might as well have gone to Aldi!

Jo Malone candles are just divine and this scent is so strong and fills the house. It lasts for a long time.

should be better for the cost

Gave this as an Xmas gift to my sister and we couldn't smell it even after 3 hours of burn in a very small bathroom. Also, for the price, I would hope they'd bother to pour the candle evenly but it was coming away from the sides even before lighting. On my end there were no heating discrepancies, I bought the candle the day before I gave it to her. I know this brand is known for more subtle scents but a single wick candle for this cost should have some scent to it.

I thought I would write a review as I tend to check reviews before any purchases. I received this candle as a gift and this was is by far the best candle I have used. I'm a bit of a candle addict so have used many different brands. The sent of this candle is so strong, I burned it it in my room and I could smell it all around my flat. I wouldn't usually go for this scent but the smell is so fresh I really love it and will definitely recommend it to friends.

Really disappointed

I've followed all the instructions that came with the candle I had asked to have it as a gift as I really wanted to try the jo Malone products. I am really dissatisfied with with the fact it lets off no scent I have a small apartment and have it on the table in front of me when lit and there is no scent from it all all. I was wanting to purchase more of your products as I love the scent lime basil and mandarin but I worry that I will have wasted my money and i will have the same problem.

Burns away immediately!

I have been burning candles daily during wfh, both cheap and expensive varieties. Decided to treat myself to one in the scent of the Jo Malone cologne I wear and also got one other. Both listed as having a 45 hour burn time. Both were completely gone in two uses, maybe 10 hours tops. Really surprised and disappointed. Have not had this experience with any other candle.

Very, very disappointed

Bought this candle on recommendation of the sales assistant. I actually came to purchase diffuser in the same fragrance but after sales lady's recommendation bought the candle. Absolute waste of money I can't smell it at all when lit in a very small room. I have given it a go over and over again, offered it to my son but he doesn't want it either as he can't smell the fragrance. I wish I just bought the diffuser
